A huge crowd gathered in DC’s Chinatown for the big day of protest in solidarity with Minneapolis and general strike. Note that Chinatown is now a major shopping district in DC, so protesting here is a form of strike/boycott enforcement.
Only an thin veneer of Chinese culture or population remains here. A few apartment buildings with often elderly Chinese residents still stand strong but developers are always trying to find ways to evict them. I myself have seen many fights over that, usually centering on protecting a single building
