Evening of August 13 2025: enemy troops from ICE or CBP partnered with MPD at the 14th st checkpoint. Video by DC Media Group
FOX News (probably DC’s local TV-5) reports the 14th st incident may have started wirh someone snitching on one rider on an “illegal” dirt bike. Storm of Feds reported descending on that to boos and hisses from the neighborhood.
DC Media Group video (shown here) caught ICE/CBP/whoever partnered w MPD bailing out under a chorus of jeers, which became cheers as they quit the field
On the 11th of August, protesters held a vigil and a pot and pan baning protest for al-Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif , murdered by the IOF on August 10. This protest and vigil was held at the pro-Palestine encampment outside the N Capitol st offices of multiple major corporate media outlets such as NBC
On the 11th of August, Trump declared a “crime emergency” in DC even though predatory street crime is declining. This is probably a vendetta against DC because DOGE staffer “big balls” got his ass kicked in DC by two young people from Maryland.
Speakers at an opposing press conference on BLM plaza condemned all parts of Trump’s de facto occupation of the city. One of the speakers pointed out that Trump is doing exactly none of the things he would be doing if he had any concern whatsoever for public safety in DC. His ICE terrorism and defunding social programs were called out as being exactly the opposite of public safety measures.
When a dictator deploys troops against a rebellious city and takes over their police, that is an occupation, nothing less.
The 9th of August was an international day of action against the starvation blockade of Gaza. In Tampa, protesters marched through the Armature Works restaurant and entertainment district banging pots and pans.
It took a while for cops to respond, the choice of targets may have taken them by surprise. Only a half-dozen or so responded, but by that time protesters had done their job anyway. Protesters withdrew to avoid the risk of anyone being picked off by enemy forces, and the outnumbered police made no attempt to pursue

On the 4th of August, protesters gathered in Orlando to demand that the Orange County Commissioners stand up to threats from DeSantis to attempt to remove them from office if they refuse to provide transportation for hostages held by ICE at county taxpayer’s own expense. The actual law that was supposed to make 287(g) mandatory for all police agencies and sheriff’s departments in FL was blocked in the 2025 legislative session. All DeSantis has his his democracy-defying threat to fire elected local officials and replace them with his hand-picked henchmen. This so he can use Orange County taxpayer money to move those taken hostage by ICE to concentration camps such as Alligator Auschwitz.
Community activists are demanding that at the Aug 5 meeting of the Orange County commissioners that they override the current decision by Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings to expand 287(g) to transportation and vote to refuse to cooperate no matter what the price.
You CANNOT appease or compromise with Nazis. Those in Orange County claiming they “have to” submit remind me of Neville Chamberlain trying to appease Hitler. When Chamberlain’s appeasement failed to stop Hitler, the British public voted him out. The exact same thing can happen to appeasers in Orange County. They need to get the message that if they fight back, DeSantis might replace them but they go down heroes. If they submit WE replace them and they go down as chumps just like Chamberlain did. Let’s not let Jerry Demings stab our migrant brothers and sisters in the back with the long umbrella that was the symbol of Chamberlain and appeasement in the late 1930’s.

On the 2nd of August, Fl Gov Ron Desantis (a notorious Christian nationalist and Fascist) spoke at a GOP/MAGA “Freedom Forum” at Rosen Shingle Creek just outside Orlando near Universal. There is very little freedom in the DeSantis agenda of Christianity having force of law. There is none either in the Trump/MAGA deportation agenda DeSantis has so enthusiastically adopted.
Protesters hammered the event. At least two disruptors got inside and shouted down the proceedings. Protesters kept things loud and noisy outside, demanding that Trump release the Epstein files and calling him out as a pedophile. I myself was nealy run down by a convoy of enemy blacked-out SUVs entering the event.
Both UCF and the owners of Publix’s shopping mall and lot mounted an aggressive anti-parking campaign. Direct confrontations blocked tow trucks from towing several cars (one belonging to a Publix employee) from that parking lot. The tow trucks were driven off, and many of the cops were drawn off the main protest to defend them. People found other places to park their cars and the protest was a success. This even though the entire area is extremely difficult to reach other than by car and may have been selected for that exact reason.
Kaitlyn Bennett showed up again, again with her paid security guards. In an ugly move that in open warfare would constitute perfidy (a war crime), at least one of Kaitlyn’s henchmen wore a vest matching those worn by de-escalators. They did not remove these false uniforms before engaging.
Video of disruption from inside Orlando GOP “Freedom Forum” featuring Ron DeSantis and his henchmen. Very nasty and direct threat from Fl’s AG to put a protester in Alligator Auschwitz (not just Alcatraz). THIS is the Fascism we are fighting folks!

On the 30th of July, a protest encampment set up on DC’s corporate news hub block staged a noisy pot and pan banging protest. This was to draw attention to the failure of most of the corporate press to cover the starvation and genocide in Gaza.
