Minneapolis: ICE hotel defenders take a nice big rock

Two nights ago: ICE agents defending their Home2Suites hotel (a hotel by Hilton) take a nice big rock. The area behind the door inside the hotel looks nicely trashed too. THIS is how the Battle of Minneapolis is being won (NOT was won…)-with all-out direct action!

Video: protest and fighting to date in 2026 as victory in Minneapolis draws near

As Trump’s forces are reassessing the “wreckage” of their invasions of Chicago and Minneapolis, let’s take a look at the hard fighting (tip of the spear) and mass protest (shaft of the spear) that made this coming victory possible.

Looking forward to V-MN day as Trump’s troops retreat with their tail between their legs! Also note that this victory will greatly weaken Trump and help close the door on his plans to rig or “postpone” the Novemeber elections

Orlando marches hours after 2nd murder in Minneapolis by ICE

On the 24th of January, ICE murderers opened fire again in Minneapolis. This time they murdered registered nurse (RN) Alex Jeffrey Pretti. Within hours, streets in Minneapolis were barricaded first with flaming dumpsters by protesters, then by cops and National Guard attempting to restrict car entry to a large area including people’s homes.

Solidarity protests erupted everywhere, including both Tampa and Orlando in Central Florida. The Orlando march took over sidewalks and stretched for blocks. This was similar to but larger than the Friday night aftermarch that cops attacked and arrested one person from. This time around, facing greater numbers, the cops kept their hands to themselves

ICE shoots, murders a videographer in Minneapolis

This is the widely distributed video of the shooting today in Minneapolis. The victim was FILMING the ICE orcs when they suddenly charged, assaulted him, and finally shot him.Real possiblity the claimed recovered gun was actually planted on him. The fact that cops attempted without success to destroy the evidence by stealing phones and arresting the entire crowd makes this especially likely.

The person murdered by ICE today has been tentatively identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti on Mastodon at https://mast.wmclark.com/@wm/115951708149151724

Destroying evidence and targetting witnesses is the behavior of a lawless state, or a Mafia operation, or a violent street gang.

Second ICE protest same day in Orlando, second Trumped-up arrest.

On the evening of Jan 23 in Orlando, FL, protesters gathered for the second time of the day. On the evening of Jan 23 in Orlando, FL, protesters gathered for the second time of the day. This was Round Two for Orlando on the same day as the Minneapolis general strike call.

Action began with one of the bigger crowds I’ve personally seen at City Hall. Remember that City Hall is where the decision to sign a “task force model” 287(g) agreenment was made.

As the rally wrapped up, an angry-sounding march took to the streets, looping up Orange Ave and back several times. After a few rounds of this, bike cops pounced on someone supposedly for stepping in the street. They were very quick to haul their hostage away given the infuriated crowd and chants of “Oink! Oink! Piggy Piggy! and “You can’t spell PolICE without ICE!”

Tampa protests Trump, ICE, and city’s 287(g) agreement on day of walkouts

The 20th of January was the 1 year anniversary of Trump’s installation in office. Walkouts and protests from coast to coast greeted this sordid anniversary of hate. One of these protests was in Tampa, FL across from City Hall. This location is highly appropriate as Tampa Mayor Jane Castor signed what must be a “task force model” 287 (g) agreement with ICE. This is the most aggro version of 287(g), the one that turns every cop into an ICE agent, and even in Florida this is NOT compulsory on any jurisdiction. Only allowing ICE to fish in a jurisdiction’s jail is. Closing the jail would remove that as well.

Tampa’s protest followed the recent model of blocking the intersection when and only when the light was red. Letters carried by this contingent read “stop ICE murder” referrring to the recent shootings. Each time the walk signal counted down towards the green light, protesters cleared the street, not once being caught in the intersection facing a green light. This didn’t stop one MAGA meathead from talking shit, flipping the “bird” and yelling at protesters to a chorus of shouts and raised middle fingers back at him.
