On Feb 13 in Orlando, FL, activists in Handmaid’s Tale garb showed up at the ICE facility on the outskirts of Orlando at 9495 Delegates Drive Orlando FL.
Visible in the video are this hellhole’s high iron fence and a prison bus inside. At the start is an SUV departing the ICE facility with half of its license plate covered.
On Feb 12, New York City LGBTQ activists and city officials raised the rainbow flag at the Stonewall National Monument, where minions of Fuhrer Donald Trump had pulled it down earlier in the week and replaced it with the flag of the US Empire.
This is reminescent of Orlando’s LGBTQ activists who repeatedly repainted the rainbow crosswalk destroyed by FL Gov DeSantis at Pulse, but on an even bigger stage.
Stonewall is the site of the 3 day uprising and furious battle that put an end to routine police raids on gay bars and nightlife. The very name rings of battle and standing one’s ground, and that’s exactly what the fighting queens and hustlers of Stonewall did on June 28-30 1969.
Now the rightful flag of this victory monument is back in its place!
On the 13th of February, believers from several religions came together to remember those murdered by ICE under “Der TrumpenFuhrer’s” brutal reign.
On the 7th of February, protesters gathered in Tampa near USF for a protest against Trump and ICE. At the end of the protest after the speeches, a participant brought the spice. They initiated a chant of “ICE, ICE, help us out! Take a rope and kill yourself!”
After this protest wrapped up, reports indicate a second, spicier protest started up. Looks like I caught the overlap, but I was unaware a whole second protest was starting as people who missed the original event started showing up. Classic “brushfire” approach: main fire goes out, but embers survive to get it going again!
On Jan 31, Orlando folks held another big protest against the jackbooted Gestapo of ICE
On the 31st of January, hundreds lined the street in downtown Lakeland, FL to protest ICE. This is a smaller Southern city, the last sort of place where Trump and his foul agenda would expect to face protesters
A huge crowd gathered in DC’s Chinatown for the big day of protest in solidarity with Minneapolis and general strike. Note that Chinatown is now a major shopping district in DC, so protesting here is a form of strike/boycott enforcement.
Only an thin veneer of Chinese culture or population remains here. A few apartment buildings with often elderly Chinese residents still stand strong but developers are always trying to find ways to evict them. I myself have seen many fights over that, usually centering on protecting a single building
On the 29th of February, GOP scumbag Congre$$man Cory Mills faced disruption at his town hall in the Brannon Center in Volusia FL. As protesters hammered his brazen support for the murderous Nazis at ICE, he demanded a few seconds to speak. Over ther commotion he roared out some of the most hateful words ever heard at one of these town halls: “ICE ICE Baby.”
Instantly the audience exploded into outraged booing. Cops removed several of the freedom fighters who had disrupted his drivel but the damage was done. It is clear to all that he endorses the murder, torture, and brutality of ICE and stands with Trump and his Gestapo.
Democrats who voted with the GOP to fund ICE are being held accountable it seems!
